Cedar Hall Clinics – Back in Action
We are pleased to announce that Cedar Hall Clinics will be reopening on Monday 1st June for ALL patients.
As always our top priority continues to be patient and staff safety therefore you will notice some new and updated procedures in place when you arrive for treatment.
All staff will be wearing disposable PPE including gloves, masks, aprons & visors (if required). There will be an appropriate gap after each patient to allow for PPE changes and disposal, the disinfectant of treatment rooms and all contact points in the clinic. This gap will also ensure there is a limited number of people in the clinic so social distancing can be maintained.
Protective screens have been placed on Reception desk and we ask you where possible to use contactless card payment. For your convenience the limit has been increased to £45
We will also be asking you to wear masks, so please feel free to bring your own if you prefer and sanitise your hands on arrival. If necessary non contact temperature checks will be done on arrival and any patients presenting with symptoms of illness will be asked to reschedule their appointment.
Please arrive for your appointment at the time due and not early so as to avoid crowding in Reception. Also unless you are under 16, a vulnerable adult or have mobility restrictions, please do not bring other people to your appointment.
We appreciate that some of these procedures mean we can’t as yet return to our usual relaxed and informal atmosphere but it is in all our interest to adhere to these guidelines for the time being. In the meantime you can still be assured of a warm & friendly welcome and the best of treatments.
We are all looking forward to getting back to doing what we love best – helping YOU back to health & fitness. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Osteopathy – Treating your Pain wherever it Strikes
Many people know how osteopathy can successfully treat back pain, but osteopathic treatments can be equally effective on many other aches, pain & injuries.
First Appointment? No Need for Nerves
You may be nervous about your first visit but there really is no need. Our osteopaths are primary health care providers & highly skilled. They use various gentle techniques according to your particular condition including:
All new patients are asked to complete a simple personal history form. Your osteopath needs to know about any previous medical problems, current medication and of course, most importantly, details of the condition that you need help with now.
During your initial consultation your osteopath will:
- Spend time getting to know you & your medical history
- Perform a comprehensive medical examination
- Ask you to perform some simple movements
- Discuss diagnosis & treatment options with you
- Appropriate treatment begins
- Arrange private specialist investigations if necessary ie MRI or X rays
If you would prefer please feel free to bring a friend or family member for moral support. However many, now pain-free patients, often wonder why they left it so long to get treatment!

Osteopathy – for all
Osteopathy is a manual therapy that involves the treatment of joints, muscles, ligaments and all surrounding structures. Any kind of joint ache, pain or stiffness whether it be in the back, neck, arms or legs can be an indication that there are underlying joint and muscle strains and these, left untreated can upset your general health. Osteopathy can help you gain as much movement and physical independence as possible so you can resume your normal job or lifestyle. Our osteopaths offer all new patients a FREE consultation followed by treatment as necessary. Osteopathy includes a wide range of specialities that meet the health needs of different people including babies and children, pregnant women, sports people, injured workers and the retired, older adults.
The practitioners at Cedar Hall Osteopathy Clinics Benfleet & Thurrock use the most appropriate techniques for your condition and body type and these may include soft tissue work, stretching, joint articulation, muscle energy and manipulation. Treatment is often followed by the prescription of rehabilitative exercises, stretches and postural advice.
Treatment is safe and gentle for children, the elderly and during pregnancy. Osteopathy is best known for the treatment of musculo-skeletal problems such as:
